Bath Salts are Easy to make! Adding color is optional. I think the best storage or gift giving of bath salts is in a jar. Any kind of jar. If you choose to use a jar, you will want to have some sort of small bottle to help pack the salt in.

1 1/2 Cups Epsom Salt

1 1/2 Cups Rock Salt

Food Color: Blue and Red

Fragrance Oils: Lavender and Rose

4 Tablespoons of Baking Soda (Most people use 2-3, I prefer 4)

You can mix all these ingredients together, or if you are using a jar you can layer them like this.

First Layer: Mix 1/2 cup of Epsom salt and 1/2 cup of rock salt. Color with 4drops blue and 3 drops red for dark purple. Scent with 10-15 drops of lavender fragrance oil.

Second layer: Mix 1/2 cup Epsom salt and 1/2 cup rock salt. Color with 3 drops red light pink and scent with 5-10 drops rose fragrance oil.

Third Layer: 1/2 cup Epsom salts and 1/2 cup of rock salt color with 4drops red food color and 2 drops blue (Light purple). 10-15 drops lavender fragrance oil.
